It’s ridiculous that Liverpool have to wait 21 days between their last Premier League game and the Champions League final.
For me it’s pathetic and sums UEFA up – along with their decision to hold the Europa League final in Baku.
Arsenal and Chelsea having to go the whole way across Europe to a place that isn’t easily accessible, it’s unbelievable.
They just don’t seem to be able to get things right. Why don’t they just use some common sense? It’s crazy!
Also we’ve got the factor over the prices of the flights to Madrid going through the roof.
Unfortunately that’s always happened and the fans who go to every single game home and away are forced to fork out. It’s totally and utterly wrong.
They won’t be able to afford to stay in a hotel and will have to rob Peter to pay Paul to get a ticket.
The way UEFA do it too there’s pressure for tickets but our fans will find a way to get there, they always have done.
It’s just big business. UEFA keep their tickets back and the sides contesting the final get allocations that aren’t enough.
Both ourselves and Tottenham could have sold over 30,000 tickets each to our own fans but it’s all corporate and they make mega money on it. UEFA is a governing body but it’s a huge business too.
Even with the two comebacks from Liverpool and then Tottenham, UEFA have hit the jackpot.
How’s that for the marketing value of the competition, those two games?
It’s like Istanbul, it won’t happen again.
