ARSENAL have promised premier season-ticket holders Champions League football next season — before they have even qualified.
The Gunners face a third successive season in the Europa League if they fail to beat Chelsea in the final on Wednesday.
But according to their club website, a bullet point on a link to their membership benefits reads: “As a Platinum Member you will enjoy ticket access to every competitive first-team fixture including Premier League, Uefa Champions League, the Emirates FA Cup and English League Cup.”
Arsenal have also risked the wrath of all season-ticket holders by giving them just 12 days to work out if they can afford to pay for the 2019-20 campaign.
An email to Gold Member ticket holders read: “With the result of the Europa League determining which competition we will be participating in next season, we cannot confirm season-ticket prices until after the final.
“Renewals will open on the afternoon of Thursday May 30, 2019 and close on Monday June 10, 2019.”
Arsenal fans are already having to fork out thousands to make it to Baku to see the final — which has already been marred by travel complications.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal are phoning fans in a desperate bid to sell their Europa League final tickets.
The Gunners, who sell out their 60,000-seater stadium almost every game, have shifted just 3,500 of their 6,000 allocation for next week’s final against Chelsea in Baku.
Followers of both clubs have shunned the game due to the difficulty and expense of making the 5,600-mile round trip, with the Blues selling around the same as their opponents.
But Arsenal have been cold-calling and emailing season-ticket holders and members to try to get rid of their 2,500 seats.
