The former Gunners star has been out of action for the entire campaign after he suffered an ACL injury in the Champions League semi finals last season.
He has recently returned to the fray at Anfield and revealed during Liverpool’s warm-weather training camp ahead of the final in Madrid that he is fit to play in the final.
“After crutching my way around the pitch last year, it’s nice to be in this situation,” Oxlade-Chamberlain told the club’s media.
“Dreams are made of maybe having some part to play in Madrid, but it’s not about me – it’s about making sure whoever is on the pitch does the job for the club and for the team.
“If I can be involved, that would be amazing, but just to be around it and be fit and healthy again is good for me as well at the minute.
“I’ve not been able to get loads of minutes, but I am happy to just come back.”
It’s unlikely Jurgen Klopp will start the midfielder – who won’t be match fit yet – in such an important fixture.
But Gunners fans are hoping their former player can at least get on against Spurs to prevent their bitter rivals from winning the Champions League.
“Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scoring the winner against the Spurs in the Champions League final is it? Inject me,” wrote one Arsenal fan.
Another added: “Oxlade-Chamberlain ready to score a 91st minute winner in the Champions League final l and reveal a shirt that says ‘What do we think of Tottenham?’ Can already envision it.”
And a third supporter concluded: “Evening ex-Gooner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Get yourself match fit and ready for June 1.
“You in the 89th minute scoring a screamer to win the Champions League final against that lot. Thanking you kindly. Every single Arsenal fan in the universe.”
